"UNCF envisions a nation where all Americans have equal access to a college education that prepares them for rich intellectual lives, competitive and fulfilling careers, engaged citizenship and service to our nation. UNCF’s mission is to build a robust and nationally-recognized pipeline of under-represented students who, because of UNCF support, become highly-qualified college graduates and to ensure that our network of member institutions is a respected model of best practice in moving students to and through college." - https://uncf.org/our-mission

The Bail Project, Inc. is a non-profit organization designed to combat mass incarceration by disrupting the money bail system ‒ one person at a time. We believe that paying bail for someone in need is an act of resistance against a system that criminalizes race and poverty and an act of solidarity with local communities and movements for decarceration. Over the next five years, The Bail Project will open dozens of sites in high-need jurisdictions with the goal of paying bail for tens of thousands of low-income Americans, all while collecting stories and data that prove money bail is not necessary to ensure people return to court. We won’t stop until meaningful change is achieved and the presumption of innocence is no longer for sale.

We want to live in a world where every Black woman and non-binary individual has access to high-quality, culturally competent therapy. To make this dream a reality, The Loveland Foundation covers the cost of therapy for our community, provides mental health resources, and invests in the professional development of BIPOC therapists. We believe if we reimagine a mental health care system accessible to Black women, we can create a system that benefits everyone.

The National Black Cultural Information Trust (NBCI Trust) is a non-profit organization that uses cultural communications, media, education, and storytelling to share information and resources that uplift the collective freedom of Black communities. NBCI Trust also works to minimize cultural misinformation within Black communities through educational programs, workshops, and reports. Through our Protect Black History initiative, NBCI Trust provides books and other cultural resources to communities impacted by laws preventing the teaching of Black history in public schools. Our Disinformation Info Guide for Black Social Media Users helped to warn Black communities of online targeting during the 2020 elections. Our work on narrative building for reparative justice has helped to shape local and national initiatives. Additionally, we provide guidance to national leaders concerning critical cultural issues impacting Black communities.

Since 1987, we’ve championed the Black college community by providing scholarships, innovative programs and strategic partnerships for K-12 and higher education. TMCF transforms lives at HBCUs, PBIs and HBCCs through scholarships, capacity-building initiatives and connections to top employers. We believe in education’s power to uplift communities and shape the future. TMCF levels the playing field.

Black Girls Code (BGC) prepares Black girls and gender-expansive youth to be the next generation of tech creators, innovators, and decision-makers. Our mission is to ensure that Black girls believe they belong in tech and launch them with the skills, opportunities, and resources to lead in Science, Tech, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). Established on September 9, 1915, by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, we are the Founders of Black History Month and carry forth the work of our founder, the Father of Black History. We continue his legacy of speaking a fundamental truth to the world–that Africans and peoples of African descent are makers of history and co-workers in what W. E. B. Du Bois called, “The Kingdom of Culture.” ASALH’s mission is to create and disseminate knowledge about Black History, to be, in short, the nexus between the Ivory Tower and the global public. We labor in the service of Blacks and all humanity. The vision of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History is to be the premier Black Heritage learned society with a strong network of national and international branches and partners whose diverse and inclusive membership will continue the Woodson lega
